Think of the year 1000 AD, so warm the Vikings settled Greenland, can you explain to me why?

It was so warm and the glaciers had receded so far when no one had SUV's and large carbon footprints? Sure we have Global Warming, but not for the reason the kool-aid drinkers are screeching about.
