Why do I come off as a player?

I really don't know how to ask this question without sounding full of myself. Anyway I am a 23 year old, male. I am very Intelligent, pretty handsome, dress well and take care of myself. I do not brag about my job or really anything for that matter. I have to admit I independently study human sciences like behavior, expression, body language etc. I meet a lot of women, but not many that I can honestly say I find all that interesting, maybe I am too picky, who knows. The underline issue here is that most women will openly say they believe I am a player without any such evidence. What's the deal?
