Brits with an opinion generally lean towards the Democrats. Their views fit in with the mainstream political parties in the UK. Republican politics only crop up in the UK through their subsidiary UKIP. British politicians like to suck up to the Republicans because that's where the money is. Tony Blair got himself on the million dollar lecture circuit by committing Britain to the Bush family's wars. John Major tried to emulate Bill Clinton and all he got for his troubles was Edwina Curry.
