Early 2000's music video.?

For the life of me I can't remember the song or the band. All I remember is the music video. It starts out in an apartment with a girl crying and packing her things. During this scene you see her "boyfriend" yelling (presumably) and then she storms out with him following. She gets into her car and he is beating on the windows trying to get her out but its to no avail. She drives away. He gives chase on foot but when he finally catches up her car gets hit by a garbage truck. Her "ghost" comes walking out of the car and they hug. At the end of the video it shows a newpaper clipping showing an article with the guys picture saying how he had already died. If someone could please help me and tell me the name of the song (at least) I would be very greatful. Thank you!
