How can I make sure someone else hasn't got the same e-mail address as me?

I keep getting spam mail addressed to someone else to my address, called angela, is it possible that someone else has the same e-mail address as me or is it just spam, as I keep adding the addresses to my banned list of recieved spam addresses and I still get them?
